Ask the Expert! Live Q&A Session with Experts on Hospital Marketing, Hospital Finance & Community Engagement for Rural Hospitals

This one hour Q&A session will allow hospitals the opportunity to ask burning questions to experts in the aforementioned fields, initiate discussion and receive personalized advice and solutions to common challenges faced by rural hospitals. Examples of topics to be discussed on the call include:

  • Internal and external marketing
  • Promoting new service lines
  • Improving your image in the community
  • Community engagement with local stakeholders
  • Employee engagement
  • Community partnership
  • Community needs health assessments
  • Revenue cycle challenges, revenue growth, and many other topics.

Expert panelists include:

  • Jennifer Chu of McCabe Messaging Partner.  Ms. Chu is a creative problem solver and communication pro who enjoys developing research-informed communications that consistently reach the right audiences with the right tactics. She has extensive experience communicating a wide range of health topics.
  • Angie Alaniz, Director of Healthy Texas Initiatives and Rural Health Access Programs at Texas A&M University. Ms. Alaniz has over 20 years of experience working with small and rural communities to identify and address local issues, particularly those related to access to health care and the social determinants of health.
  • Kayla Cline, hospital finance expert and clinical professor the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Ms. Cline teaches on the business of health care and intermediate financial accounting as well as international accounting. Her research interests include optimizing surgical care provision and the connection between hospital organizational structure and patient outcomes.
