The OCTRI Lunch-n-Learn Series is back!

The December session of OCTRI Lunch-n-Learn 2.0 will be on Thursday, December 12 @ 1:00pm.  We will learn about a faculty success story that OCTRI contributed to, as well as the downstream results.

Dr. Melanie Gillingham has worked extensively with the OCTRI CTRC for her research on fatty acid oxidation disorders.  Now, some of Dr. Gillingham’s data has been licensed for drug development.  As such, we will hear from Dr. Gillingham, our CTRC nurses, and Dr. Michele Gunness of OHSU’s Technology Transfer Office on how this happened and what it all means.

As a refresher, the goals of the OCTRI Lunch-n-Learn series are: 1) for OCTRI faculty and staff to learn about other programs outside of their own, and 2) to serve as an opportunity for people to get to know each other.

As such, we are adding an optional social component this year.  There will be 15 min of time at the end of each Lunch-n-Learn for OCTRI team members to talk and munch on snacks or desserts.

These are meant to be casual, informative presentations with lots of time for Q&A, so please bring your lunch and your questions.
