Dr. Vivek Unni has specific training in both the patient-care side and research aspects of these disorders. As a clinician, Dr. Unni is committed to improving the lives of those impacted with Parkinson’s disease through comprehensive care and cutting edge treatment. As a scientist, Dr. Unni studies the role of the protein alpha-synuclein in the mechanisms of Parkinson’s disease. Dr. Unni received his Ph.D. and M.D. from Columbia University, and completed his residency and fellowship in Neurology Movement Disorder at Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital.
