Conference details

The Peds-Plastics-Neuro-op Case Conference is a new continuing medical education course that focuses on pediatric, oculoplastic and neuro-ophthalmic cases. By highlighting clinical and surgical challenges and/or complications, the aim of this course is to collectively learn from past experiences to improve patient safety and outcomes.

The target audience includes all ophthalmologists and trainees interested in pediatric, oculoplastic, and neuro-ophthalmic pathology.

Learning objectives

Participants will be able to:

1) Better diagnose and manage neuro-ophthalmic, pediatric and oculoplastic pathology
2) Understand risk-benefit assessment in deciding timing of surgery
3) Identify methods to reduce risk, promote patient safety, optimize management of complications and promote best clinical and surgical practices
4) Improve comfort in reviewing findings on imaging modalities.
