Dana Ghazi is a trauma-informed practitioner and educator with over ten years of experience working in higher education and international programs focused on peace-building initiatives in divided communities. She aims to address generational trauma in international and intercultural conflicts. Her work and study experience include The Hague, Cyprus, Bosnia, and Herzegovina. Before being an organizational development consultant and diversity trainer at the Center for Diversity and Inclusion, Dana worked as a mental health professional at the Intercultural Psychiatric Program at OHSU, serving Arabic-speaking immigrant, refugee, and asylum-seeking patients. Her fields of study include race, gender, sexuality studies, and English literature. She later earned a Master’s in conflict resolution and peace studies from Portland State University. Dana is an immigrant from Syria, a multilingual professional, and a seasoned public speaker. She continues to serve the community as a board member of the Arab American Cultural Center of Oregon and as the current co-chair of MENA ERG at OHSU. Dana is the content creator for the Intercultural Communication, Leading with Cultural Humility training offered by the JEDI team at the Center for Diversity and Inclusion. Dana is an actor and the cultural consultant to the play The Kiss at a local Portland theatre.
