Andrew was born in Ketchikan, Alaska, and raised in La Paz, Bolivia. He has a Linguistics degree from Portland State University and is pursuing his MBA. Having worked in the Perinatology Clinic and Graduate Medical Education in the School of Medicine's Dean's Office, Andrew is exceptionally familiar with supporting all learners at OHSU. Prior to OHSU, he worked as a Systems Analyst Trainer at IBM. Andrew worked as a court interpreter for the State of Oregon, and also served as a teacher as a TEFL instructor in local Portland Metro area schools. When Andrew is not running around having fun with his toddler, he volunteers with the SMART program (Start Making a Reader Today), coaching soccer, practicing Taekwondo, and spending time with family!
