Naomi Hauser, M.D., MPH, infectious disease physician with UC Davis, joins us to share her research on human infectious disease as it relates to climate change. Dr. Hauser recalls the relationship between climate-change-induced extreme-weather events and infectious diseases. She discusses several modes of infectious disease transmission and how they are expected to change with climate change. Dr. Hauser examines the health care industry's role in contributing to and treating climate-change-related infectious diseases.
