Wallowa Memorial Hospital Recognized as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital

Congratulations to Wallowa Memorial Hospital has been recognized as a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital across the nation!  Adding to their awards from 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, this 2022 recognition marks Wallowa Memorial Hospital’s 5th time being recognized as a Top 20 CAH.  Wallowa Memorial Hospital will receive additional recognition and an award for this great accomplishment to the National Rural Health Association (NRHA) CAH Conference in Kansas City in September.

Compiled by The Chartis Center for Rural Health, this annual recognition program honors outstanding performance among the nation’s rural hospitals based on the results of the Chartis Rural Hospital Performance INDEX™.  “Amidst uncertainty, transition and strain, these top performers are excelling in managing risk, achieving higher quality, securing better outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction, and operating at a lower cost than their peers. These groups serve as a benchmark for other rural facilities as they strive to achieve similar results and provide a blueprint for successfully navigating the uncertainty of the new healthcare” says Michael Topchik, National Leader with Chartis Center for Rural Health.

Please join The Oregon Office of Rural Health in congratulating the leadership and amazing staff at Wallow Memorial Hospital for this remarkable recognition and outstanding results!
