Jessica de Villiers, PhD Jessica de Villiers, Ph.D. is a linguist at the University of British Columbia working in the area of ASD and language. Her research is focused on clinical linguistics, and she has conducted several studies of pragmatic language use, disfluencies and discourse of children and youth with ASD, with a focus on free-standing conversations.
