The Oregon Health Authority’s Oregon Immunization Program is contracting with ORPRN through June 2023 to conduct COVID-19 vaccine supportive site visits across Oregon.

The purpose of these visits is to support and improve COVID-19 vaccine programs throughout the state. Each visit follows a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention-devised format and will cover COVID-19 vaccine storage and handling, recordkeeping, and preparation best practices. Site visitors will also observe administration of the vaccine.

The ORPRN site visitor team includes both new and established ORPRN practice enhancement research coordinators (PERCs) and OHSU Department of Medical Informatics and Clinical Epidemiology (DMICE) practice facilitators.

ORPRN’s COVID-19 vaccine site visits will officially begin in September 2021. Providers enrolled in the COVID-19 Vaccine Program can expect to be contacted by a site visitor regarding a visit. Details about what to expect and how to prepare will be provided, and program requirements can be reviewed on the Oregon Immunization Program website.
