Prior to joining the OHSU Technology Transfer team, Cadence was an academic researcher with studies focusing on neuroscience, endocrinology, obesity and reproduction. Cadence received her Ph.D. in neuroscience from OHSU, followed by a postdoctoral position at Massachusetts General Hospital and a research assistant professor position at OHSU. In 2020, she joined the OHSU Technology Transfer team with the goal of supporting OHSU inventors in moving their great discoveries from the lab to the bedside.

Cadence spends her spare time working in her flower garden, foraging for mushrooms in the Pacific Northwest forests, and sewing clothes for her family of four.
