Congratulations to Dr. Austin Peters for receiving a Biomedical Innovation Award for his proposal entitled “Self-administered palate stimulation device for non-invasive headache relief.” Austin created a working prototype that utilizes electrical stimulation to non-invasively treat migraine headaches.  His prototype has shown efficacy in rapidly reducing headache intensity.  The award will allow him to refine his working prototype and initiate clinical trials. This is a very prestigious award and has the potential to ease discomfort and increase productivity for millions of people.
