Dismantling Racism: The Game of Change

Dr. Angele Theard will lead a discussion through the lens of medical education and popular culture. The workshop will explore what we can do to address and stifle racism in academe and society. The workshop/discussion will provide strategies to help faculty become more aware of the problems of bias and structural racism. Utilizing principles presented in work by Dr. Robert R. Gaiser on teaching professionalism: i.e. reflective thinking, metacognition, and transformational learning.
