  • Explain “serve and return” parent-child interactions and their significance for the developing brain
  • Discuss extrinsic and intrinsic factors acting together to shape resilience in children and youth
  • Give examples of extreme adversity that often create lifelong developmental challenges

This activity will be presented by Tamara Grigsby, MD, Professor of Pediatrics at OHSU. Dr. Grigsby received her MD from OHSU. She completed a General Pediatric residency at the National Naval Medical Center Capital Region in Bethesda, Maryland and a Child Abuse and Neglect fellowship at The Children's Hospital in Denver Colorado.
