In the news about the Covid-19 pandemic: Idle Labs

Sonnet was interviewed by Dara Chadwick for The Physiologist magazine about the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Jonker Lab. OHSU research labs were closed on March 26, and researchers were given strict stay-at-home orders. We made the best of it, but without access to our labs on campus, we were able to do little work. As of June 8, though, researchers have been allowed back in a limited, strictly controlled fashion. We do all possible work from home, only going in for hands-on experimental work, and we use a sign-up to schedule use of spaces to keep population density low in the labs. And of course, everyone wears a mask.
