Ian Tagge

Title: Research Assistant


Ian received his BSEE degree from University of Portland where he developed a primary research interest of applying advanced image processing and analysis techniques to Medical Imaging modalities. Ian has worked closely with AIRC faculty for more than 10 years as a software engineer, data analyst and MRI operator (3T, 7T, and 12T) developing the technology and techniques associated with the Shutter Speed Model. He completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering (2016) under the advisement of Dr. Rooney. His primary focus is developing imaging biomarkers and metabolic neuroimaging techniques in neurodegenerative diseases such as multiple sclerosis. Ian enjoys cycling, snowboarding, yoga, photography, and being outside whenever possible.
