Simulation is utilized throughout the three-year undergraduate program. The Monmouth campus has a clinical skills lab and simulation suite with a high-fidelity learning environment. It features state-of-the-art manikins and also employs standardized patients, with learning experiences facilitated by the simulation team and clinical faculty.

Student life at WOU

OHSU School of Nursing students are enrolled simultaneously at WOU. This means that our students can access the campus resources available to all WOU students, including:

  • Campus Recreation and Health & Wellness Center
  • Student Health & Counseling Center
  • Hamersly Library

The Student Health and Counseling Center at WOU is open to OHSU Nursing students on the Monmouth Campus. The student health fee entitles students to routine office visits to the health center and individual counseling sessions in the counseling center. Additional fees may be assessed at the time of any medical visit.

OHSU School of Nursing students pay the Student Health Services Fee as part of their mandatory campus fees to WOU, which are billed each term they are enrolled in the OHSU Nursing program on the Monmouth Campus.

All OHSU Nursing Monmouth students are welcome to join the Monmouth Student Nurses Association. The MSNA meets regularly to discuss and organize student activities, fundraising, and other issues and events.
