3-year B.S. in nursing frequently asked questions

Why get a B.S. in nursing instead of an associate’s degree?

A bachelor’s degree in nursing offers many advantages over an associate’s degree (ADN/ASN). Nurses with bachelor’s degrees typically become critical thinkers, problem solvers and successful leaders. They also provide better patient care. Top hospitals and clinics seek out nurses with bachelor’s degrees to improve patient outcomes.

How do I apply for the 3-year B.S. in nursing program?

For our Fall 2025 cohort, submit your application materials no later than February 15, 2025, for Portland and February 28, 2025, for Ashland, La Grande, Klamath Falls and Monmouth. Visit Nursing CAS to start your application.

Do I need to apply to the school that hosts the program, too?
