Background

My research involves a variety of outcomes studies focusing on the optimal treatment of patients with gastrointestinal tumors ranging from liver cancer to colorectal cancer. I also participate in the development and analysis of large multi-institutional clinical trials in gastrointestinal cancer. Our research team has recently launched a new liver tumor registry that will focus on patients with primary liver cancer. The registry will bank tissue specimens and also prospectively collect clinical data. Our aim is to better understand the risk factors, biology and treatment outcomes for this very difficult cancer.
