Affymetrix Microarray Core
The mission of the Affymetrix Microarray Core is to provide basic research and clinical investigators with high quality, state-of-the-art microarray services in a timely fashion. The Affymetrix Microarray Core (AMC) facility provides RNA expression profiling and DNA Variation Analysis services using Affymetrix GeneChip® oligonucleotide arrays. DNA Variation services include genome wide SNP genotyping, copy number, and LOH detection.
Through rigorous standardization of protocols and multiple quality control checks, the Affymetrix Microarray Core provides high quality expression and SNP array data to the OHSU basic research and clinical community. Services are also available to non-profit/commercial investigators located in Oregon and elsewhere.
Supported Applications and Array Assays
- RNA expression profiling using 3'IVT, Exon, Gene ST arrays
- Whole transcript expression analysis using Exon and Gene ST arrays and alternative transcript usage analysis using Exon arrays
- microRNA expression profiling using miRNA arrays
- DNA genotyping and copy number analysis using SNP 6.0, 250K arrays
- DNA copy number and cytogenetic analysis, including Loss of Heterozygosity (LOH), copy neutral LOH, and Uniparental Disomy (UPD) analysis, using SNP 6.0 arrays
- RNA and DNA quality assessment (with or without downstream array processing)
