How to properly name a sample for submission?
Software programs in use in the core lab have limitations on character types and number for sample name fields, therefore the core asks investigators to strictly follow the following set of rules when entering the names of project samples for submission:
- Length of name:
- Sample names no longer than six characters are preferred.
- Character Restrictions:
- Names cannot contain any spaces and can only contain alpha-numeric characters (0-9, A-Z, a-z). The following characters CANNOT be used:
