Zeiss Axioscan 7 Slide Scanner

The ALM Core houses four Axioscan slide scanners at our Waterfront location, three of which are dedicated to Knight Cancer Institute use. Knight researchers can contact core staff  for prioritized access.

The university-wide shared Zeiss Axioscan 7 is a highly automated slide scanner for routine digitization of slides using standard brightfield or fluorescence detection. Up to 100 slides can be loaded at a given time, and images are captured unsupervised using pre-configured and slide-specific profiles. A software wizard guides through profile development for automated tissue detection and focused imaging.

Full service slide scanning requests are submitted through iLab. Expert core staff will scan your slides and deliver the digital data within 5 business days after sample drop-off. Click here for more information.
