Thomas Lab
Senior Scientist and Principal Investigator: Gary Thomas
The Thomas lab studies signaling pathways that link cellular membrane traffic to the regulation of homeostasis and disease. We are particularly interested in how death ligands trigger complex changes in interorganellar communication to induce apoptosis and how these pathways are disturbed in cancer, AIDS and polycystic diseases.
CURRENT PROJECTS
- Apoptosis in cancer cells
- Polycystic kidney disease
- HIV-1 immune evasion
- Structure of membrane traffic regulators
