Oregon Stem Cell Center

The Oregon Stem Cell Center conducts basic and applied research in the field of Stem Cell Biology with the long term goal to harness the properties of stem cells for regenerative medicine and cell therapy.

Dr. Peter Francis, an investigator working on stem cells for the treatment of eye diseases at Oregon Health & Science University has recently been found to have engaged in research misconduct (http://ori.hhs.gov/content/case-summary-francis-peter).

Dr. Francis was not affiliated with the Oregon Stem Cell Center (OSCC), directed by Dr. Markus Grompe. None of the ongoing research projects being conducted by the faculty of the OSCC are affected in any way by Dr. Francis leaving OHSU.
