Training for Study Coordinators
OCTRI provides extensive research staff and faculty education programs through the Investigator Support & Integration Services (ISIS) program. Many of these education and training opportunities are designed to prepare study coordinators and clinical research coordinators for a successful career in clinical research.
OCTRI provides the following opportunities:
- Two-day Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) training workshops held quarterly on the basics of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), human subject research compliance processes, and clinical research project management
- Biannual classes in clinical research financial management
- An advanced Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) training curriculum consisting of four bimonthly classes and offered in conjunction with the OCTRI Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC) and the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute
- Annual Society of Clinical Research Associates (SoCRA) certification exam
