Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research Services
To facilitate collaborative research with the KPCHR, OCTRI offers a number of services for investigators to ensure the success of research conducted at Kaiser or in collaboration with KPCHR investigators. Services include, but are not limited to, the following:
Forming a research team

- Accessing practice-based research networks, including OCHIN
Designing a study
- Customizing your study protocol and procedures to the KPNW environment
- Using electronic medical record (EMR) data, such as Epic, for research purposes
- Data management consultation
Getting funding
- Identifying funding opportunities within OCTRI
- Budget development
- Letter of support for external funding applications
Fulfilling compliance requirements
- Compliance preparation and submission (e.g., IRB and HIPAA)
- Assistance with organizational review and approval
- FWA assistance for community partners
Implementing a study
