INVENT Series Peer Entrepreneur Forum
Do you have an idea, invention, a discovery, or simply want to learn about entrepreneurship? Join us at the INVENT series Peer Entrepreneur Forum on Tuesday, May 8 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Doernbecher Conference Center on the OHSU Marquam Hill campus. Our panelists will discuss their transition from scientist/clinician to entrepreneur and share their unique insights, challenges, successes, and advice. OCTRI Design Studio: Get Feedback on Your Research Project from Senior Faculty
Are you submitting a career development K award, your first R01, or a similar major grant? OCTRI has an opportunity for basic and clinical scientists to present their research and receive constructive feedback from OHSU scientists to improve chances of award success. The OCTRI Design Studio has helped many OHSU researchers improve their aims and identify critical areas of improvement before submitting awards.
The Design Studio has openings at three upcoming meetings:
- Tuesday, May 8, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, June 12, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.
- Tuesday, July 10, 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

SBIR Road Tour - July 17th with Oregon BEST
The SBIR Road Tour is a national initiative to promote the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs, which provide $2.5 billion annually in funding to small advanced technology firms to spur new technological discoveries and facilitate the commercialization of innovations.
The NW stops of the SBIR Road Tour will be 1-day live events located in downtown Portland on July 17 and Seattle on July 18. These events provide an exceptional opportunity to meet directly with over 25 program managers from the 12 Federal agencies with SBIR/STTR programs. Learn more at http://www.sbirroadtour.com
