OHSU Trains Tomorrow's Neurosciences Experts

OHSU's graduate education programs in the neurosciences train undergraduate students for future research, education and leadership roles in the world's top laboratories and institutions. While pursuing their doctoral degrees, students frequently participate in major neurological research projects, often as study leaders, working side-by-side with faculty members renowned for using advanced scientific techniques to explore the nervous system. The diversity of the faculty offers a variety of research opportunities for undergraduate students in such areas as behavioral neurobiology, molecular neurobiology, behavioral and molecular genetics, cardiovascular psychophysiology, physiology and pharmacology, and cell and developmental biology. Acceptance into these rigorous programs places undergraduates at the vanguard of biomedical science research. They enter as students and exit as scientists.
