OHSU’s Human Balance Disorders Laboratory is seeking Healthy individuals to serve as age-matched control subjects to people with neurological disorders for studies in balance function.

Participants must be 55-75 years of age, in excellent general health, and have no history of dizziness or balance problems.

Testing is one-time-only and takes approximately 1-2 hours.

The effects of high intensity exercise for Parkinson’s Disease IRB #4402

The purpose of the study is to test exercises that may help people with PD.

We aim to determine the best exercise program to help prevent balance and mobility problems in people with PD. 

The study involves 4 sessions a week for 4 weeks and 2 sessions a week for 2 weeks.

We will also test your balance and physical performance 3 times (2 times before the exercise program and 1 time after).
