Exercise and Education in PD

Interested in exercise? Come try EE for PD!

Do you have Parkinsonism (idiopathic or vascular PD)? Interested in exercise?
Come try EE for PD!

IRB # 8979

A research study to try and improve quality of life for people with Parkinsonism.

You will be invited to attend:
A 6-week education class and a 6-week exercise class

We will test your balance and cognitive performance 3 times (once before the program, once in the middle of the program and once after you have completed the program). Participants will also have magnetic resonance imaging brain scans taken at each of these sessions (3 total scans) to better understand how the brain changes in response to exercise and education.

The purpose of the study is to assess balance deficits in people with multiple sclerosis.

We aim to determine the specific brain circuitry that contributes to deficits in balance control and balance adaptation in people with MS.
