About Healthy Mindset
The Healthy Mindset Parkinson's disease (PD) program has been designed to facilitate greater understanding, overall adjustment, and quality of life for those living with PD and their families. This program seeks to educate participants about the common psychosocial aspects of PD and to teach healthy mindset strategies that enhance well-being, even in the face of illness.
> Learn positive strategies for increased quality of life
> Understand common psychosocial aspects of PD
> Attend 10 one-hour weekly group sessions
Local Parkinson disease experts have joined forces to offer this special program:
~ John Allen, PhD, Health Psychologist, specializes in the emotional
and psychological impact of Parkinson's disease.
~ Julie Carter, MS, ANP, Associate Director of the OHSU Parkinson
Center of Oregon, who has a special research and care focus on
the PD caregiver.
Mindset of Healthy Caregiving 2013 Registration
The first session begins on Monday, January 7, 2013.
Sessions meet Mondays, 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the OHSU Center for Health & Healing.
Cost: Insurance will be billed for for each session, plus a $150 administrative fee.
