Annual Meeting
Sixteenth Annual Blood-Brain Barrier Consortium Meeting
We convene an annual Neuro-Oncology and Blood-Brain Barrier Consortium meeting each spring in Oregon or the Pacific Northwest. The meeting is partially funded by a NIH R13 meeting grant with support from the National Cancer Institute, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and National Institute of Deafness and Communication Disorders. The 2010 meeting is organized in collaboration with the International Brain Barriers Society (IBBS).
The 2010 meeting will be held March 18-20 at Sunriver Resort near Bend, Oregon. The focus of the meeting will be translational research in the blood-brain barrier and/or neuro-oncology. The meeting is titled "The Interface of Vascular Biology and the Brain Barriers." The topics to be discussed are:
New Insights into Vasculogenesis and Angiogenesis
The Role of Vascular Biology in Neurologic Disease
Up-stream and Down-stream Regulation of the Brain Microcirculation
Trans-vascular Therapeutic Interventions
Aging Blood Vessels and Inflammation
The complete scientific program will be available as soon as the speakers are confirmed and will be posted on a separate page "Scientific Program."
