Biography
Dr. Woltjer has served as the Neuropathology Core Leader since 2006 and in that capacity manages the Oregon Brain Bank, a collection of tissue from more than 1800 brain autopsies that is made available to researchers investigating Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative disease. He collaborates with other Layton Center colleagues to explore biochemical changes in the brain that occur in the brain in healthy aging and disease states.
