Cost Share


CDRC follows Federal and OHSU Cost Sharing guidelines. Cost Sharing is a portion of the costs of a project not borne by the sponsor, for example, when a department shares in the costs of funding the project. Cost Share approval must be secured during the Pre-Award process at time of submission.


Please note that all expenses charged to a grant must be allowable per OHSU and Federal guidelines. This includes expenses charged to a Cost Share account.

After a CostShare Account has been setup, it is necessary to track its progress throughout the period of the project.

  1. If funded, PI monitors Cost Share requirement to ensure the requirement will be met by the end of the budget period.
  2. All Committed Cost Share are reflected in Effort commitment and the Effort Certification Statements.
