Research
OHSU Institute of Environmental Health is designed to catalyze the efforts at the interface of health and environment. Leading the research efforts include:
Division of Environmental and Biomolecular Systems (EBS)
EBS research promotes: (i) fundamental understanding of processes at molecular, cellular, and particle levels; (ii) integrative, process-based understanding of ecosystems and individual organisms; and (iii) effective use of science in society's approaches to ecosystems health, human health, and economic development.
Center for Coastal Margin Observation & Prediction (CMOP)
CMOP seeks to develop a new way of studying and understanding the coastal environment, with which to address the increasing challenges faced by those environments due to human activities and changing climate. We seek to move beyond “multidisciplinary” - to create a paradigm and environment where science, societal needs and education come together in synergistic new ways.
