Total Worker Health
The Oregon Healthy Workforce Center is funded by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Total Worker Health program (formerly the WorkLife program). Total Worker Health™ is a strategy integrating occupational safety and health protection with health promotion to prevent worker injury and to advance health and well-being.
NIOSH's Total Worker Health program also funds three other Centers of Excellence in this area; University of Iowa Healthier Workforce Center for Excellence; Center for Promotion of Health in the New England Workplace at the University of Massachusetts and University of Connecticut; and Harvard School of Public Health Center for Work, Health, & Well-being.
