Who can be a principal investigator (PI) at OHSU?
In general, OHSU requires that investigators be at the postdoctoral level or higher to submit a grant, contract, or award application as a PI. To be eligible to be a PI on a human subjects (Institutional Review Board [IRB]), animal subjects (Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee [IACUC]) or biosafety (Institutional Biosafety Committee [IBC]) protocol, investigators must be a faculty member.
