Volunteer Appreciation Week

This year, in recognition of National Volunteer Appreciation week, the Office of Visitors & Volunteers (OVV) is hosted a career development night of activities and awarding outstanding volunteers for their time and commitment to OHSU. All actively registered volunteers were invited to attend.

US Presidential Awards

The President's Volunteer Service Award recognizes United States citizens and permanent residents of the
United States who have achieved the required number of hours of service over a 12-month time period or cumulative hours over the course of a lifetime. The OVV annually submits its volunteers who have served over 500 hours for the gold service award. For the 2016 calendar year, OVV has the honor of awarding 8 US
Presidential Service awards.

Our second evening of planned events, Wednesday, April 26th, was canceled due to illness and low registration. We hope to postpone our panel interview with representative from the OHSU MD/PhD program later this summer.
