Brian Hamilton
"Think positive"
Brian sustained a closed head injury at age 24 in a head-on car crash while driving home from work in England. He was in a coma for three weeks and spent many years after that in rehabilitation programs. Before his injury Brian was an engineer and planned to get an MBA. He loved electronics, playing guitar, photography, traveling and skiing.
Since his injury, Brian has learned to love volunteering. He moved to Portland in 2001 with his wife Gail. He spends his time volunteering at OMSI, working with computers, and sharing his life with his wife and two young daughters. Brian enjoys speaking with ThinkFirst and sharing his story about how brain injury changed his life.
