FAST

A workbook for use by children and their parents

Family Adventures in Safe Transportation (FAST)

FAST targets youth in kindergarten through fifth grade and their parents/guardians. It is a workbook designed for children and their parents/guardians to use together to learn about pedestrian safety, bicycle safety, and occupant protection.

The FAST workbook lessons are most effective when parents or guardians work closely with their children as they learn safe behaviors related to pedestrians, bicyclists, and motorists. The lessons are age appropriate and incorporate indoor activities and outdoor, on-the-road training.

The Family Adventures in Safe Transportation (FAST) workbook was developed by the ThinkFirst Program at Oregon Health & Science University through a grant provided by the Oregon Department of Transportation, Transportation Safety Division.
