The Office of Rural Health is offering one hour training sessions via the Internet. The sessions will discuss different issues for Critical Access Hospitals, EMS/Trauma providers, Rural Health Clinics, and other rural providers each month with subjects ranging from quality initiatives, cost reports, capital finance, patient safety, balanced scorecard and other interesting topics.

NARHC's EHR Meaningful Use Call The National Association of Rural Health Clinics (NARHC) held a rural health clinic technical assistance call on March 4, 2010 regarding the proposed rule for EHR meaningful use. Discussed were highlights of the Medicaid relevant sections of the proposed rule. They covered the proposed eligibility requirements under Medicaid and a brief overview of meaningful use. There are still many issues that remain to be worked out such as if provider-based RHCs will be eligible and the definition of a PA led clinic.
