Eddie Ramirez

Eddie Ramirez, born in Tala, Jalisco, Mexico, arrived in the United States at the age of 2. This decision was made by his parents with little knowledge on how it would impact his future. At the age of 8, he discovered he was present in the country as an undocumented immigrant. Regardless, he persevered to achieve his dream of becoming a dentist. Focusing his volunteer work on the Hispanic and immigrant populations, he hopes to continue to better their oral health, while setting an example for other undocumented individuals.

Molly Goddard, NP

Molly Goddard

Molly Goddard is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner student hoping to be fully licensed in Summer 2017, before continuing on for her Doctorate of Nursing Practice. Her experience working with children in group homes and at an inpatient child and adolescent psychiatric unit have cemented her passion for working with children and families. She's eager to start providing holistic mental health care for rural Oregon communities.

Liska Havel's ideal practice is General Surgery as part of a small, close-knit group of practitioners in a remote community. She grew up in Willamina and is beginning her final year of medical school in the OHSU Rural Scholars program.

Lenin Aquino Nolasco, DMD

Lenin Aquino

Lenin comes from an immigrant Latino family and was raised in a rural community of Oregon.  He has experienced first-hand the challenges that many underserved families have encountered in their pursuit of access to dental care.  As a dentist, he plans to serve not just the underserved community, but the immigrant Latino community as well.

Thomas Grass, DMD

Thomas Grass

Thomas Grass is a dental student in the OHSU class of 2019.  He grew up in rural Alaska in medically underserved areas.  A nurse since 2007, Thomas decided to pursue dentistry after witnessing the incredible need for dental providers while working with underserved populations in Alaska and Hawaii.  Now settled in Oregon with his wife and daughter he looks forward to meeting the dental needs of Oregonians in the future.

Pamela Anderson, MD

Pamela Anderson grew up outside of Eugene, Oregon, before attending Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington to study Spanish and Chemistry. She returned to Oregon for medical school at Western University of Health Sciences COMP-Northwest.

Growing up in Oregon has left her with a love for smelling the fresh air of the Pacific Northwest on a bike, Border Collies, rock climbing, and encouraging others to live a balanced, active lifestyle. She is completing a Rural Training Track Family Medicine residency in Boise, Idaho. She is attracted to broad spectrum rural family practice including obstetrics.

Nick West was born and raised on a cattle ranch outside of Imbler, Oregon where he and his three siblings gained a fond appreciation of rural life. He loves rural communities, rural people, and rural living. He cannot wait to return to rural Oregon to serve those communities that shaped him into who he is today.

Emily Thompson was born and raised in rural Eastern Oregon on her family’s sixth generation cattle ranch and farm. Emily loves to be outdoors fly-fishing, hunting, hiking, and spending time with family and friends. She is looking forward to returning to rural Oregon to serve a small community and raise a family.
