A Picture of Poverty in Oregon

08/27/14  Portland, Ore.

The Oregonian has released an interactive map of poverty data for Oregon.

View an interactive map of poverty data from June and July 2014 for Oregon on a county-by-county basis.

From The Oregonian:

"Despite the slowly recovering economy, Oregon continues to struggle. More than one in five Oregonians rely on food stamps and 16.6 percent of Oregonians live in poverty. These interactive maps use several measures of economic well-being from June/July 2014 to show that rural counties, in particular, continue to lag behind the rest of the state."
