Community Interoperability Health Information Exchange Grants Available

04/24/15  Portland, Ore.

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT (ONC) announced a new funding opportunity for the Community Interoperability Health Information Exchange Program.

The grants will fund local work that builds upon existing community efforts to increase the adoption and use of health information exchange.

If your organization is currently pursuing HIE efforts, this may be a great opportunity to apply for potential funding. The ONC will be awarding up to 10 grants ranging between $50,000 and $100,000.

The Oregon Health Authority is not planning to apply for this grant. They instead encourage organizations to apply. The application submission deadline is 11:59 p.m. EDT on June 15, 2015. The deadline to submit intent to apply notices is May 15, but intent to apply notices are not mandatory.

More information on the new funding opportunity and a list of eligible applicants is available on the ONC’s website.
