2015 National Rural Health Day Update!
01/25/16 Portland, Ore.
ORH staff celebrated National Rural Health Day on November 19, 2015 in Eastern Oregon.
They started with the Union County 4-H ribbon cutting for the First Healthy Snacz Zone – a partnership with local business to help offer kids a healthy alternative. They moved on to celebrate with students at Eastern Oregon University before heading to Union and Elgin Clinic and the great volunteer EMTs!
While ORH staff was celebrating in Eastern Oregon, the students at Western University of Health Sciences-Comp NW’s Rural Health Club held a day long Health Fair offering blood pressure checks to flu shots and everything in between! The Club intends to make this an annual event.
