OHSU's commitment to the environment is multi-faceted; from the banning of all tobacco products on its Portland properties, to designing and developing some of the world's most advanced energy efficient buildings and facilities. After all, OHSU is a key institution in not only a city, but also a state, acknowledged internationally for its leadership and dedication to conservation and the environment.
Since we all know "it's not easy being green", the Green Team has developed a new recognition program to highlight students, staff, or faculty that have taken a significant leadership role in promoting OHSU's goal of being a sustainable institution. If you are aware of an individual, project team, or department that has accelerated the actions of creating a positive impact to environmental sustainability among the OHSU community, nominate her, him, or them for the Kermit Award.
Award winners will be chosen by the OHSU Green Team on a bi-annual basis. Nominees selected for this award will be recognized internally with a bio on the Green Team's blog highlighting their success story, and in addition, will be presented with a certificate of recognition for their actions. The Green Team feels that this is a great opportunity to promote participation in OHSU's sustainability initiatives.
If you would like to nominate an OHSU student, staff, or faculty member for the Kermit Award, please make your submission by filling out the form provided below.
