Public Events and Lectures
OHSU provides events and lecture series to the public throughout the year. Most are free of charge and all offer an array of information:
"Imagine the future with us" is a lecture series to mark the 125th anniversary of the OHSU School of Medicine. Throughout this series, we invite you to think creatively about the future of healing, teaching and discovery, both in Oregon and across the nation.
Brain Awareness Season involves an estimated 10,000 Oregonians - scientists, clinicians, policy makers, advocacy group leaders, teachers, students and enthusiasts from the general public. It builds on the strength of OHSU Brain Institute’s neuroscience community, one of the largest and most celebrated groups of brain care and research experts in the country. Speakers from OHSU and from around the world gather to share the latest information on brain science.
Since 1981, the OHSU Marquam Hill Lecture Series has brought together leading members of the OHSU faculty with the public to feature innovative and cutting edge biomedical research and clinical advances that will form the basis of tomorrow's cures and treatments.
