Special Event: The Body Toxic Webinar

In honor of earth month, we are pleased to announce a very special Webinar opportunity featuring local talent Nena Baker, author of The Body Toxic: How the Hazardous Chemicals of Everyday Things Transform our Health and Wellbeing. Join us in an earth-friendly transportation free gathering using your own phone and computer.
The Body Toxic: What Consumers Should Know About the Hazardous Chemistry of Everyday Things
The webinar will detail the health risks posed by endocrine-disrupting chemicals and provides you with practical and specific means to limit your unwitting exposures to the hazardous chemicals found in everyday things.
Investigative journalist Nena Baker, author of The Body Toxic, discusses the concept of “chemical body burden” and details how consumers can protect themselves against health threats posed by chemicals found in everyday items. These include perfluorinated compounds in non-stick cookware and food packaging, phthalates in plastic, flame retardants in electronics and furniture, and the now-infamous bisphenol A in polycarbonate bottles and the linings of food and beverage cans.
Webinar (internet connection and phone line required)
