About
THE MISSION
After too many years of treating too many women with cancers too advanced for optimal outcomes, physicians and philanthropic supporters of the Center for Women’s Health at Oregon Health & Science University came together to make a difference. The result was the Campaign to Eradicate Cervical Cancer. Through the campaign, we created a model that demonstrates the power of philanthropic support and advocacy to extend the life-saving benefits of cancer screening to women who would otherwise go without.
The Center for Women’s Health continues to work to eradicate cervical cancer by training medical providers in best practices, educating the next generation of women’s health care providers, researching the causes and treatments of cervical cancer, and providing expert commentary and legislative advocacy on testing guidelines and related issues.
