Eating Competence in Pregnancy

The purpose of this study is to learn more about the nutrition and diet composition of pregnant women and factors that influence the dietary choices they make during pregnancy.

We want to learn about:
  • The types and amounts of food and beverages you consume
  • Attitudes that influence diet and nutrition decisions
  • Barriers to accessing food and preparing meals


Why is this study being done?

Having a better understanding of what women eat during pregnancy and factors that influence these decisions will help health care providers better tailor nutrition education for pregnant women in the future.

 

Eligibility

  • Age 18 years or older
  • Currently pregnant
  • An established patient at OHSU's Center for Women's Health
  • Fluent in English


Compensation

 Participants will complete 6 online surveys, including a recall of all foods and beverages consumed in the past 24 hours. Approximate time to complete all 6 surveys is 1 hour. Participants who complete all 6 surveys will receive a $20 Fred Meyer gift card.
