The OHSU Pancreas Transplant program is nationally recognized and has a long history of successful patient outcomes. Pancreas transplantation is an option for diabetic patients with pancreas disease or those otherwise failing conventional therapy for diabetes management. The pancreas transplant program has one of the highest rates of patient and graft survival in the country according to the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients.
Success rates include five-year patient and graft survival rates of 100 percent and more than 90 percent, respectively. We take a multidisciplinary approach to care for our patient population, which includes an expert team that includes nephrologists, urologists, surgeons, nurse coordinators, pharmacists, dieticians, social workers, financial coordinators and patient service representatives.
